Here at Soul Centric, we understand that when life throws you lemons it's not always as easy as the saying would imply to make that Lemonade with them!.

Sometimes we cope and sometimes we just can't. If you can think of everyone as sponges.

(yes I know strange analogy, just run with it for a moment)

Events in life are the water that gets thrown at us. Sometimes we have something traumatic that suddenly fills our sponges to the brim, and sometimes it's a slow trickle of events that we don't always notice, but eventually, we hit that saturation point and we start to leak. Our ability to hold everything together suddenly no longer works. Our resilience drops and the cycle begins again.

Don't judge yourself by how others handle life. You are unique and deserve support that is completely tailored to your needs

Contact us today if you feel you would like help in understanding yourself and would like to know how to use those times of stress to grow. When you understand you it makes understanding others easier and creates much clearer communication and harmony.

below are just some of the things we help with. Remember these are many symptoms of unresolved emotions  that we sometimes can't even remember and have been "triggered" by life events.

Symptoms can vary enormously from person to person.

DEPRESSION

These may range from lasting feelings of unhappiness and hopelessness, to losing interest in the things you used to enjoy and feeling very tearful. Many people with depression also have symptoms of anxiety.

There are a lot of physical symptoms that tend to go hand in had also..Aches and pains, sleeplessness etc

Ptsd symptoms are not always instantly recognisable. In today's world it is not only the military veterans of our society that suffer these symptoms but can be created by everyday events. From bullying to big traumatic events where the emotions don't get processed by the brain appropriately.

the symptoms can be delayed for a long time and be retrigger causing a person to continually relive an event or experience over and over in their mind.  There are varying degrees of behaviours and some may experience more than others.

  • Flashbacks

  • Nightmares

  • Physical sensations of sweating and feeling sick

PHOBIAS

So what is a Phobia? It's a pronounced fear. An overwhelming and often debilitating fear of an object, place, animal or situation. Now sufferers are perfectly ok in most areas of their life except when they get overwhelmed by whatever fear they have, and are very real to the person. These feeling can easily spiral and sufferers start to think that these feelings will appear wherever they go creating all kinds of issues.  The claustrophobic will never get in a lift or be in crowded places..The agoraphobic struggles to leave the house, or even go into the garden etc.

A phobia is actually a fear of fear because sufferers are not generally frightened of any particular situation or place but are frightened of the feelings of terror that they get when they are in those places or situations.

These are things that can be treated usually quite easily

If you are attempting to organise and manage your life because of a phobia then please get in touch. Imagine what your life could be like without that fear?

PAIN

Pain can be both physical and emotional and tend to go hand in hand. Now pain serves a purpose in letting us know when there has been an injury to our body. It lets us know that we need to attend to the issue  immediately and get the appropriate medical diagnosis when required. The issue that can happen is that once the injury has healed and there is no longer anything that can be done medically the pain messages don't always seem to stop. The body has an amazing capacity to self heal but sometimes the message gets stuck and keeps playing.

The same can go for emotional pain. Sometimes emotions get stuck due to trauma and create ongoing physical symptoms and the unconscious creates a programme designed to actually keep you safe but has become outdated.

Have a look on the therapies page where a video explanation is given, and further info on one of the modalities we use to help people  either remove or reduce many types of pain.
